We are not offering any drop or semi-guided camps for 2008

DROP CAMPS (NON-GUIDED HUNTING)

We offer drop camps for both archery and rifle hunters. Drop camps are especially suited to the hunter(s) who wants to be packed into the backcountry where he will "go it alone." All drop camps come complete with wall tents for sleeping/cooking, wood stoves, Coleman cooking stove with propane, lanterns, cots with pads, ax, shovel, bucket, table and cooking gear. The client need only bring his own hunting gear, sleeping bag and food. We will pack you and your gear in by horseback on Day 1 of your hunt, check on you and pack out game ½ way through your hunt and pack you and your gear back out on the last day. Drop camps are 7 day hunts. You have to get your game to camp or the nearest trail, we will pack it out from there. Drop camps are located at elevations of 6500 feet to 8000 feet and 3 - 7 miles in, with a good source of water. Plentiful game is present in these locations, but a hunter's success depends on weather and their own ability to hunt elk.

*Note: Due to new state licensing regulations, guaranteed licenses obtained under the outfitter certification cannot be used to hunt in an non-guided camp such as a drop camp. You will need to have a resident license or a non-resident license from the general pool, "non sponsored". Normally it takes 1 preference point to draw a general license, which means it usually takes two years of applying to draw a tag. All good things take time. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a hunt. Balance due upon arrival. Deadline for applying for hunting licenses is March 15th. Deposits transferred or refunded if license is not drawn.
Drop Camp Prices:
$1000 per hunter, 1-2 hunters
$800 per hunter, 3-4 hunters

SEMI-GUIDED

Semi-guide hunters may obtain the outfitter guaranteed license. Therefore, ensuring that you may hunt the year you want.
Our semi-guided hunts consist of the following: a cook and homestyle meals, lodging in our tent camp, horse transportation to and from your hunting areas, field maps and hunting area information, game care and retrieval. The main thing you wouldn't get that a fully guided hunter receives is a professional hunting guide in the field with you at all times. You also will not be allowed personal horse use.
Semi-Guided Price: $1500 per hunter

Dates for hunts will be set around the existing guided hunt dates. This allows us to be efficient in our logistical planning. Call or email us to secure specific dates.
